About

Jordan Borgman is a writer and translator interested in the space between words—and worlds. She holds a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School, where she focused on contemplative practices and mysticism across religious traditions. As a writer, she is particularly interested in interrogating epistemological boundaries across culture and time: what are the worldviews that delineate what we think we know? And how do mystical traditions challenge the divide between the human and the non-human, particularly when thinking about technology and artificial intelligence?

Her dedication to moving across worldviews also informs her work as a translator from Japanese, Spanish, and Marathi into English. In addition to translating award-winning films, her translation credits include work for Joe Hisaishi, NHK, and ANA (All Nippon Airways), and several museums. She has lived in nine countries and speaks seven languages.
